GOSSAMER POODLES SALES CONTRACT
This Sales Contract is entered into on the _________ day of ____________ between Beth Erickson & Brad McCormick (hereinafter referred to as Seller)and____________________________________________________________ (hereinafter referred to as Buyer).
In consideration for the sum of $ __________, such being the purchase price, and all mutual promises contained herein; Seller promises to deliver and agree to transfer ownership to Buyer of a ________________ dog of (Male/Female)sex,whelped______________Sire________________________ Dam ____________________ for(Pet, Show/ Breeding Quality).
At the time of sale, this puppy’s Health is guaranteed to be good to the best of our knowledge. The Buyer has a health guarantee extending from the time of sale for 72 hours in which to have the puppy checked by a Licensed Veterinarian and is urged to do so. If the Veterinarian finds anything seriously wrong with the puppy, it will be exchanged for another puppy of equal value at once or as soon as one is available. At the Seller’s discretion all money for the purchase of this puppy will be refunded, providing a letter from the examining veterinarian is offered as evidence of the puppy’s illness. This lettermust be received within the aforementioned 72 hours. If Buyer wishes another puppy, a letter from the attending veterinarian is still required as well as an up-to-date health record.
Your puppy’s parents have had the appropriate genetic tests performed which are specific for each variety. The aforementioned tests were negative as to genetic disorders. Your Gossamer puppy is guaranteed against PRA Eye Blindness (only appropriate for miniatures), CERF (no genetic markers available at this time), Hip & Elbow Dysplasia (no genetic markers available at this time), Sebacious Adenitis (no genetic markers available at this time) and VanWildenbrand Disease.
The Seller assumes no responsibility for this puppy after leaving the premises to include; medical expenses, mortality, landlord’s disapproval, allergies to animals, disagreement of family, or for any other reason. It is further agreed and understood that no warranty or representation has been made with respect to said puppy, except as set forth in writing within this agreement.
Please do not take your new puppy to the pet store or any other places other dogs could infect the area, until your puppy has been fully vaccinated. Also do not let your puppy walk around on your veterinarian’s floor or when traveling relieve itself in specifically designated areas used for dogs.
Ownership Responsibilities: The purchaser agrees to maintain the dog in a humane environment with proper care and training.. Specifically, the dog will be properly licensed and inoculated against rabies, distemper, parovirus, and other communicable diseases as recommended by a qualified veterinarian (your puppy will have been given age appropriate puppy shots before leaving for your home). In addition to ownership responsibilities, your puppy will not be allowed to roam free and will be socialized with obedience training as appropriate. The breeders strongly recommend permanent identification by microchip.
This Contract shall act as receipt for said puppy.Should its AKC papers not have been completed at the time of sale, this contract should be retained as proof of purchase until the papers are completed and can be forwarded to the Buyer. AKC papers are guaranteed to be forthcoming.
Right of Recovery/Placement: In the event that the Buyer is unable to keep the puppy or provide an appropriate home in accordance with this agreement, the puppy will be returned at the breeders’ discretion. Buyer agrees to notify breeder in this event and will not abandon the puppy/dog to a shelter.
If for some reason, neglect is brought to the attention of the breeder; breeder reserves the right to repossess the dog or puppy. Breeder is not obligated to reimburse or return any monies to purchaser. If Breeder repossess’ dog or puppy, all health records; and AKC registration must be signed back to breeder.
Dogs which are sold on a Pet or Companion Contract will be sold with a Limited Registration. AKC papers will be withheld by the breeder until proof of neutering/spaying of the puppy by 6 months of age has been received in letter form from a qualified veterinarian. In addition to insure spaying/neutering, there will be a refundable $250 deposit charged until said puppy is spayed/neutered. This $250 is as mentioned refundable upon receipt of the veterinarian's letter stating puppy has indeed been spayed or neutered.
Your new Gossamer Poodle Puppy has been bred from some of the finest bloodlines in the United States. He or she is a handsome representative of the breed and will be eager to please it’s new family members. This puppy as a new member of your family, and will behave as a treasured member of your family as long as it is kept, treated and trained appropriately.
Any further conditions for this sale shall be in writing and attached hereto and signed by both Buyer and Seller.
